John Leverett brings freshman upside and backfield punch to Davidson
Leverett is a name to watch because Davidson’s own record book identifies him as the **PFL Offensive Freshman of the Year**, which signals he already separated himself as an impact player at the FCS level in **2024**.[1] As a running back, his appeal is straightforward: early production, conference recognition, and the kind of young-player momentum that suggests more growth ahead rather than a finished profile.[1] If you want a back with upside, competitiveness, and proven early success in Davidson’s system, he fits the bill; if you need a fully polished, high-volume veteran, the data available here is still too limited to call him that yet.[1]
