low-volume production, high-value depth for UAB’s linebacker room
Tony Leggett’s current profile at UAB is that of a depth linebacker whose production has been limited so far, with career numbers showing 9 total tackles, 4 solo stops and 5 assists, and no sacks, tackles for loss, interceptions, or passes defended reported in the available stat line. He looks like the kind of player coaches value for reliability, assignment discipline, and special-teams/grit potential more than splash plays right now. If your team needs an immediate headline-maker, he’s not that; if you want a steady, physical linebacker who can grow into a larger role, he’s a sensible fit.
