Illinois legend, not a current player
O'Donnell is a former Illinois All-American left guard, not an active 2026 Fighting Illini roster player, so there’s no current on-field performance to evaluate. His football calling card was elite reliability: a four-year starter, Freshman All-American in 2004, and AP first-team All-American in 2007, with the kind of trench toughness and consistency that still makes him a useful voice around the program. If you’re asking whether he’d be a fit for your team today, the answer is as a seasoned OL authority and culture-builder, not as a recruitable athlete.
