Rob Preston brings size, shot-blocking, and a little stretch-big flair to Akron
Rob Preston is a long, versatile Akron frontcourt piece whose calling card has been rim protection and efficient support play; in the 2004-05 season, he averaged 6.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game and led Akron with 20 blocks, ranking 13th in the league in blocks per game. Akron’s own bio describes him as a “swingman in a big man’s body” who can protect the paint and also step out and score from the perimeter—exactly the kind of matchup-warping center that can help a team if you want size, mobility, and a bit of sneaky skill.
