Dannie Powell brings veteran guard grit to CCSU
In the 2007 season, Dannie Powell was a low-usage but useful Central Connecticut guard who gave the Blue Devils steady minutes, defensive toughness, and enough playmaking to complement the stars around him[5][8][12]. Reliable sources describe him as a tenacious on-the-ball defender, and his role in CCSU’s 2007 NEC title run suggests a player coaches could trust in pressure moments[12][15]. If you want a guard who competes, defends, and understands winning basketball, Powell fits the bill; he’s less about flashy box-score fireworks and more about giving your team tough, connected minutes[8][12].
