Jacob Roberts brings Wake Forest a proven, high-motor tackling machine at linebacker
In his 2023 season at Wake Forest, Jacob Roberts emerged as a disruptive, downhill linebacker who led the team with 72 tackles and added 5.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks, showing both range and pass-rush value from the second level.[8][1][3] What makes him stand out is the backstory and edge: he transferred in and quickly became a production leader, while reports on his journey describe a player who fought through early setbacks and plays with real intensity.[1] He looks like a good fit for teams that want a physical, assignment-sound LB who can impact both run defense and blitz packages.[1][8]
