veteran edge presence with proven Blue Raider grit
Steven Rhodes is a former Marine-turned-defensive end whose calling card is toughness, maturity, and relentlessness rather than flash; at Middle Tennessee, he was already producing impact snaps, including a 2013 debut with 4 tackles and a half-sack, and later earned Honorable Mention All-C-USA recognition in the 2016 season. His best fit is a team that values discipline, physicality, and leadership in the locker room as much as on-field pressure—he brings a pro-minded mindset, high effort, and a uniquely battle-tested story that can elevate a defense beyond the box score.
