Two-way Gopher guard who made his name with defense and pace
Austin Hollins was a high-motor Minnesota guard whose biggest differentiator was defense: in his senior season, he started all 38 games, averaged 12.4 points, and led the team with 75 steals, good for third in the Big Ten. He also gave Minnesota steady perimeter scoring and enough length/athleticism to pressure ball-handlers, which makes him more valuable than a box score-only guard. If you want a guard who brings intensity, disrupts possessions, and can fit into a team-first role, Hollins was a strong fit.
