John Oxios gives Army a power arm with strike-throwing upside
Oxios profiles as a right-hander with real velocity and a starter’s pitch mix: in 2026, Baseball Savant listed his four-seam fastball at 93.8 mph and his split-finger at 87.3 mph, while his repertoire also included a curveball, cutter, and changeup.[4] The key appeal is upside—he brings bat-missing stuff that can play in high-leverage innings, but his value will hinge on command and consistency, since some of his secondary pitches were in the strike zone less than half the time.[4]
