LIU’s high-upside arm with strikeout pop, but the command still has work to do
In the 2026 season, LIU right-hander Christian Yoo has shown swing-and-miss ability, but his line also points to inconsistency: 13.2 innings, 19 hits, 16 earned runs, 10 walks and 15 strikeouts, with a 9.88 ERA. He looks like a pitcher with usable stuff and enough confidence to keep attacking hitters, yet the current profile says command and run prevention are the separator. If a staff wants a competitive arm it can develop, Yoo has intrigue; if it needs a polished weekend stopper right now, he’s still a work in progress.
