veteran Youngstown State LB with proven playmaking instincts
Luke Schumacher brings a legacy-level football name to Youngstown State, and the rare detail that stands out is his knack for timely impact plays rather than empty hype. In the 2024 Youngstown State record book, he is credited with 2 interceptions as a linebacker, a useful clue that he reads the game well and can create turnovers when the ball finds him. That kind of instincts-first profile fits a defense that values awareness, physicality, and composure under pressure.
