Jess Beets enters Kentucky’s guard battle as a proven junior-college blocker
Beets is a physically proven interior lineman with junior-college All-American credentials, and Kentucky’s spring notes list him as the starter at right guard while also saying August competition remains open. His selling point is experience: he helped power a Saddleback offense that averaged 37.3 points and 421 total yards per game during his JUCO run, and he already logged five games for Kentucky last season. If you want a guard with size, résumé, and real competition toughness, he looks like a credible fit.
