experienced New Mexico QB with a strong arm and plug-in value
Quinton McCown is a veteran-style New Mexico quarterback profile: an experienced passer who was described by the Lobos as a strong-armed thrower who became more comfortable in the system after a season in it. His upside is less about gaudy stat lines and more about steadiness, adaptability, and having already handled live-action snaps in college, including stepping in when injuries hit the QB room. If a team wants polish, poise, and a ready-made depth option with game experience, he’s a sensible fit.
