Liberty Flames' Late-Blooming Big Man Turned Pro Journey-Man
Evan Maxwell, the 6'10" center from Liberty Flames (pre-draft 2019), peaked collegiately with 16.7 PPG and 6.3 RPG on 59.9% FG at Liberty, showcasing elite finishing and 43.2% 3PT shooting as a senior. A late bloomer with untapped potential per ESPN scouts, he's now 30 and grinding overseas—in 2025-26 Romania Liga Nationala with FC Arges Pitesti, he's averaging 5.9 PPG and 2.6 RPG in 11.3 MPG on 59.4% FG. Efficient role player with rebounding grit; ideal for teams needing a physical vet big off the bench, but limited minutes suggest depth chart battles.
