Under-the-radar Delta Devils DB with rostered upside
Jaterrio Merritt appears on Northwest Mississippi CC’s football roster and is associated with Mississippi Valley State’s Delta Devils, but publicly available current stat lines and scouting writeups are limited. That means the best read here is roster-level upside: if he’s carving out a DB role, he’s likely bringing the usual defensive-back essentials—coverage range, willingness to tackle, and special-teams value—while still being a bit of a mystery box. For a team looking for a developmental defensive back with room to grow, that’s intriguing; for a plug-and-play star, the public evidence isn’t there yet.
