Wyoming’s two-way rebounding force with a scorer’s touch
In the 2012-13 season, Leonard Washington was the engine of Wyoming’s frontcourt, leading the Cowboys in points (12.5), rebounds (8.9), blocks (1.7), steals (1.3) and double-doubles (12) while earning Third Team All-Mountain West and All-Defensive Team honors[1][3]. He stood out for his physicality, defensive activity and nose for the glass, and earlier in 2011-12 he also led the league in blocks and field-goal percentage (56.0), which tells you he could finish efficiently and protect the rim[1][3]. The catch: his college résumé was also shaped by ankle and back injuries late in 2012-13 and a prior team-rule suspension in 2012, so the talent came with some off-court and durability baggage[1][4].
