Scott Smith adds linebacker depth for Jacksonville State
Scott Smith is a Jacksonville State linebacker whose profile suggests a depth-and-development fit rather than a headline-grabber; the official JSU roster lists him on the 2026 team, and the program’s published bio identifies him as a linebacker and a business major, which points to a steady, team-first player.[1][4] With limited public stat detail available in the supplied sources, the most defensible read is that his value is likely tied to assignment discipline, special-teams readiness, and coachability more than splashy production.
