athletic, power-driven outfielder with pro upside after an MVP summer
Maika Niu is a high-upside Arkansas outfielder whose game is built on athleticism, center-field versatility, and real impact power; he arrived after powering Marshall, won the 2025 Cape Cod League MVP, and then signed with the Yankees as an undrafted free agent in July 2026. That combination suggests a player whose tools translated against elite summer competition, with enough defensive flexibility and offensive juice to interest pro evaluators. If you value a roster fit that can bring speed, range, and upside rather than a polished finished product, Niu is the kind of athlete worth paying attention to.
