Versatile Troy defender with a runner’s background
Ira Guilford is listed by Troy in the 2026 season as a 5-foot-11, 190-pound junior linebacker, and the main story here is versatility rather than eye-popping stat output[1]. He has no available Troy statistics on the roster page, so his value is better read through role and profile: a compact, physical defender with a running back background that usually translates to good contact balance, toughness, and a feel for space[1][3]. For a team, he profiles as a depth-and-development piece with special-teams potential rather than a headline-grabber right now[1].
