Keilan Knight brings special-teams value and roster flexibility to UAB
Knight is a **depth-and-discipline** piece for UAB: in the 2020 season, he played in 12 games exclusively on special teams and recorded tackles against Ball State and Coastal Carolina, showing he can contribute without needing the ball or a featured role.[2] Earlier career stats listed by ESPN show limited defensive production, which suggests his value is more about *reliability, effort, and special-teams utility* than headline numbers.[1] He fits best as a low-drama, high-hustle add for a staff that wants dependable backup linebacker help and coverage-unit competence.[2]
