a booming, reliable leg with real all-around value
In the 2022 season, Paxton Brooks was more than a punter — he was Tennessee’s field-position weapon, averaging 39.1 yards per punt that year while also handling kickoffs and earning Academic All-America recognition. Over his Tennessee career, he posted 163 punts for 6,900 yards, a 42.3-yard average, with a long of 64 and 58 punts pinned inside the 20, showing both leg strength and placement touch. He stood out for his versatility, durability, and leadership — the kind of specialist who quietly flips games and fits teams that value control, consistency, and professionalism.
