Big-bodied, low-usage paint anchor with proven rebounding punch
In the 2012-13 season, Freddy Asprilla gave Canisius a rugged 6-foot-10, 280-pound center who could rebound, finish efficiently, and bring veteran size off the bench; he averaged 4.9 points and 4.9 rebounds for Kansas State in 2010-11 before joining the Griffs, and earlier had a 13.7-point, 9.2-rebound breakout at Florida International in 2008-09. What makes him interesting is the combination of bulk, interior presence, and a track record of efficient scoring in the paint, though his production was more role-specific than flashy. If your team needs a physical interior body rather than a stretch big, he fit the bill nicely.
