Kelly Matthews brings versatile defensive back chops and proven production
Kelly Matthews is a compact, physical DB for Morgan State with a track record of making plays near the ball. In the 2023 season at Concordia, he logged 35 tackles, 7 pass breakups, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in 9 games, showing the kind of active, disruptive style coaches love in a depth-chart fighter. He’s the type of defender who fits teams that value toughness, special-teams value, and a high-motor back-end presence more than flashy measurables.
