In the 2025-26 season, Martin Somerville gave Florida State a dependable 6-foot-3 guard who started 10 games, averaged 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, and led the team in steals while posting a solid 2.3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.[3][9] His biggest calling card is toughness: he pressures the ball, competes hard on the defensive end, and can create offense as a shooter after winning 2025 America East Rookie of the Year at UMass Lowell, where he averaged 13.6 points and hit 40.5% from three.[2][7][9] If a team wants a guard who plays with edge, can defend, and doesn’t need the ball to matter, Somerville is a very real fit.
