Versatile safety with SEC-ready instincts and real playmaking pop
In the 2023 season at Mississippi State, Marcus Banks started all 12 games, posted 51 tackles and three pass breakups, and added a defensive touchdown, showing the kind of versatility and ball skills teams love in a multi-role safety. He’s a former four-star recruit who moved from cornerback to safety and brought a physical, high-energy style that showed up in 49 career college games. The fit question is easy: if a team wants a smart, adaptable defensive back who can cover, tackle, and make momentum-swinging plays, Banks is a solid yes.
