Joe Douglas brings disruptive, high-volume defense to The Citadel
Joe Douglas profiles as a high-energy, production-heavy defender who made an impact at Thomasville with 139 total tackles, 92 solo tackles, 2 sacks and an interception in the 2025-26 season, while also showing he can make momentum-swinging plays in big spots. [2][1] The key differentiator is his range and effort: the tackle volume suggests a player who consistently finds the ball, and his transition from linebacker to A-back at The Citadel points to versatility and adaptability. [5][2] He looks like a fit for a staff that values toughness, willingness to switch roles, and reliable game-to-game competitiveness. [5]
