a steady UAB corner with proven ball skills
Dio Hill brought real production to UAB in the 2002 season, finishing with 21 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and 1 interception while drawing praise for his size-speed blend and starting experience at cornerback. He was described as a returning defensive starter and tied for the team lead in interceptions in 2002, which is a strong signal of trust and playmaking instincts. If you want a defensive back who has already shown he can hold up in coverage and make quarterbacks pay, Hill fits the mold.
