Experienced Northwestern State CB with strong academics and no current stat line
AJ Burns is listed as a Northwestern State cornerback, but current public stat pages show no season stats available, so the clearest takeaway is profile-based rather than production-based. He stands out as a rostered defensive back with a solid 3.4 GPA noted by the program, which suggests reliability and discipline, but there is not enough recent public performance data to evaluate his ball production, coverage impact, or injury history. For a staff, he reads more like a developmental depth piece or culture fit than a proven stat-stuffer right now.
