Tom Beattie is UC San Diego’s do-everything wing guard
In the 2025-26 season, Tom Beattie has been a steady two-way engine for UC San Diego, averaging 10.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 30.3 minutes per game while starting every game[13]. He’s a 6-foot-5 guard who brings size, playmaking and enough shooting touch to punish gaps, plus the kind of all-court versatility coaches love when they need a connector rather than a pure scorer[2][13]. He also showed a higher ceiling in the 2026 Big West quarterfinal, dropping a career-high 22 points with five threes, which hints at legit shot-creation upside when the Tritons need it most[10].
