a smart, efficient Appalachian State QB with proven command and production
In the 2026 season, Eric Elsener has shown the kind of efficient quarterback play that coaches love: strong completion-rate production, solid ball security, and enough mobility to keep defenses honest. Appalachian State’s stat pages show him as a steady contributor in a balanced offense, while past game logs reflect touch on underneath throws and the willingness to take what’s available rather than force hero-ball. What stands out most is his composure and accountability — not the flashiest profile, but the sort of reliable, high-IQ QB who can fit well in a disciplined system.
