High School Tackling Beast with Unverified Saluki Link
Octavion Cooper burst onto the scene as a high school standout at Liberty Tech Magnet in the 2011-12 season, dominating with 45 solo tackles, 78 total tackles (6.5 per game), 5.5 sacks, and 1 INT—far exceeding national averages (e.g., 14 solo, 1.9 sacks)—earning All-State and District Defensive MVP honors as a hard-hitting LB/S hybrid. Later at Bethel University (Class of 2018), he showcased safety skills via Hudl highlights, but no confirmed stats or current performance tie him to the 2026 Southern Illinois Salukis roster. His raw intensity and production suggest NFL scout potential if he's thriving at SIU, making him a high-motor DB fit for aggressive defenses needing playmakers.
