Veteran F/C Anchor for New Mexico State with Proven Interior Presence
B.J. West, a 6-8, 215-pound Forward/Center for the New Mexico State Aggies, is a seasoned interior player whose primary differentiator is his reliable post scoring and defensive presence in the paint. Originally from Cheneyville, La. and signed out of God's Academy as a Class of 2009 recruit, West brings a high-intensity, no-nonsense personality that elevates team grit. While his career stats reflect steady contributions as a stat leader in rebounds and blocks during his active seasons, his value lies in his ability to control the rim and finish through contact. For teams needing a physical, experienced big man who doesn't need the ball to make an impact, West is an excellent fit, though his age and limited recent activity suggest he may be past his peak collegiate performance window.
