Kent State’s 6-5 power righty is giving the Flashes quality innings
In the 2026 season, Rocco Bernadina has been a useful multi-role arm for Kent State, posting a 5.14 ERA over 7.0 innings while striking out 9 and showing he can miss bats, with a recent start after working out of the bullpen[1]. At 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, the redshirt senior brings a big-frame, right-handed look that fits as a matchup starter or bullpen piece, and Kent State has trusted him in both roles[1][3]. His value is less about eye-popping ratios and more about versatility, strikeout ability, and the ability to eat key innings when the Flashes need a steady veteran arm[1][9].
