Nicholls K Gunnar Jones Brings Early-Season Reliability and Multi-Phase Value
Gunnar Jones has shown value as a dependable kicking option for Nicholls, handling field goals, kickoffs, and PATs in his first season and converting 3 of 4 field goals with a long of 39 yards in the 2023 season. His main draw is roster flexibility: he adds game-day utility beyond a single specialist role, which can matter for depth charts and special-teams stability. The limited sample means the profile is more about projection and trust than volume, but the early results suggest a steady, adaptable fit for a program that wants coverage across the kicking game.
