a throwback linebacker who brings heat, tackles, and proven production
Marquis Hendrix has already shown he can be a tone-setter at linebacker, with career production at Bethune-Cookman that includes 153 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 pass breakups, plus two MEAC All-Conference second-team selections. In the 2019 season, he was a Buck Buchanan Award watch-list linebacker and delivered impact games like 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a half-sack against Mississippi Valley State, signaling a disruptive, high-motor defender who plays downhill and finishes. If your team wants toughness, instincts, and a defender who can spark the front seven, Hendrix checks a lot of boxes.
