Defensive-minded New Mexico catcher with championship pedigree
Allysen Pitcox enters New Mexico as a right-handed catcher known for defense, toughness, and timely production: Los Alamitos named her Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, she helped win a Sunset League title in 2024 and a CIF-SS Division 2 championship in 2025, and she hit .471 with a 1.256 OPS in the 2024 playoffs. She looks like a fit for a team that values steady receiving, competitive edge, and a player who brings winning habits and academic consistency.
