proven Villanova guard, now a Wildcats coach
Wayns is no longer an active college player, but as a Villanova assistant he brings real credibility from a strong Wildcats playing career: 1,191 career points, 333 assists, and a team-leading 17.6 points per game with 4.6 assists per game in his final season[1][5]. That profile suggests a guard’s eye for pace, shot creation, and lead-guard decision-making, and his NBA and European experience adds polish and perspective[1][4][7].
