Ashlyn Brown is a young USC Upstate right-hander with some promise, but still early in her circle development
Brown’s 2025 debut season for USC Upstate was a small sample, with just 3.1 innings, two strikeouts and a 6.30 ERA, but she already showed enough to earn meaningful roster status as a redshirt sophomore and was recognized for her academic consistency as a 4.0 student in the spring. Her value right now is more about projection than proven production: a 5-8 righty who is still building innings, experience, and command. For a team, she looks like a low-risk developmental arm rather than an immediate rotation anchor.
