high-upside NC State tight end with reliable hands and academic grit
Asa Watson stood out at NC State in 2012 with 24 catches for 282 yards and a touchdown, then added 3 catches in 2013 despite a shorter season, showing a tight end who could contribute as a receiver and not just as a body in the formation[2][3]. He was also recognized for his work ethic and leadership off the field, earning ACC academic honors, which says a lot about his discipline and professionalism[3]. The appeal: dependable, versatile, and coachable, with a background that suggests he’ll buy into the room and do the dirty work.
