Ohio’s two-way engine and record-book wrecking ball
In the 2021-22 season, Cece Hooks was Ohio’s all-time scoring leader and one of the MAC’s most relentless guards, pairing elite shot creation with top-tier steals production and a reputation for setting the tone on both ends[13][15]. Her calling card is impact: she scores efficiently, rebounds well for a guard, and brings rare defensive disruption, which is exactly why she’s more than a stat sheet—she’s a culture setter who plays with edge and intensity[1][15]. If a team wants a fearless leader who can swing games with pressure defense, relentless drives, and high-motor competitiveness, Hooks is absolutely the kind of guard who changes the temperature in the gym[1][13].
