Veteran Arizona guard whose value is role discipline, not box-score fireworks
In the 2026 season, Fil Torres is a senior Arizona guard whose game is defined more by reliability and team understanding than by volume stats: ESPN lists him at 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds per game, while his career line at Arizona is 0.7 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game.[2][11] Arizona’s own roster lists him as a 6-2, 200-pound senior from Lisle, Illinois, and historical coverage describes him as a walk-on who “understands his role,” which is the kind of glue-guy trait coaches love when the bench gets real and practice gets spicy.[1][5]
