Greg Minnick brings frontline arm talent and strike-throwing dominance to Penn State
Minnick enters Penn State as a physical, power right-hander with real bat-missing upside: in the 2025 season at Indiana Area High School, he went 10-0 with a 0.76 ERA, 78 strikeouts in 43 innings, and opponents hit just .086 against him. Reports from his championship run also described a low-to-mid-90s fastball with a workable curveball and slider, which is the kind of pitch mix that plays in big innings and late-game pressure. Add in a track record of big-game poise and a state-title résumé, and he looks like a fit for a staff that wants strike-throwers with nasty stuff.
