Lamont Lester Jr. is already flashing as Colorado’s new edge-rush disruptor
Lester arrived at Colorado as a proven FCS playmaker, and in the 2026 season he made an instant impact with a three-sack Buffaloes debut against Georgia Tech, the most by a CU player in a debut since 2003. He brings burst, urgency, and a legit pass-rush finisher’s mentality after posting 9.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles in his breakout Monmouth season. At 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, he’s a bit undersized, but that motor-and-production combo makes him a strong fit for teams that want chaos off the edge.
