Rising LB Star with Multi-Team Versatility and Untapped Potential
Aubrey Smith, a four-star ESPN recruit (No. 60 LB in 247 Composite from Georgia), brings explosive athleticism from his track background to the LB position, having logged 138 snaps at Colorado in 2022 (8 tackles, 1 sack) before transferring to Houston—note he's not currently with San Diego State. His special teams tenacity (56 snaps) and raw speed make him a high-upside fit for aggressive defenses needing versatile, high-motor players who develop into impact starters; watch for breakout in 2024-25 after redshirting 2023.
