Wes Cheek is the kind of linebacker coaches love: tough, versatile, and a proven leader
Wes Cheek’s profile is built on versatility and production, with Liberty listing him as a converted running back who quickly became a captain and “one of the premier players on defense.” In the 2008 season, he played all 12 games, ranked among the team leaders in tackles, and added impact plays with tackles for loss, pass breakups, and an interception. He stands out as an instinctive, physical defender who brings leadership and reliability — a strong fit for teams valuing intelligence, effort, and a defender who can do a little bit of everything.
