Garrett Oswald brings lefty depth and veteran grit to Alcorn State
Garrett Oswald is a graduate-student left-handed pitcher for Alcorn State who gives the Braves a seasoned, durable arm with strikeout ability; in the 2026 season, he posted an 0-1 record with a 14.85 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 13.1 innings, which shows swing-and-miss stuff but also inconsistency and control issues. His value goes beyond the box score: he is an experienced transfer with a track record of earning academic honors, and at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, he profiles as a tough, competitive southpaw who can add depth for a staff that needs innings and maturity.
