Childers brings a proven strikeout arm and big-game upside to Coastal Carolina
Mackenzie Childers is a high-upside **pitcher** whose calling card is missing bats: over her college career she has shown swing-and-miss stuff, highlighted by an **8.10 strikeouts per seven innings** mark in 2024, a **first career no-hitter** against New Mexico, and multiple complete-game shutouts. [1][2] She also pairs that stuff with competitiveness and academic consistency, earning scholar-athlete recognition. [1] For a staff looking for a pitcher who can change a game with command, strikeout potential, and poise in pressure moments, Childers is a strong fit. [1][2][3]
