Old Dominion’s Desmond Williams brings veteran, playmaking speed to the Monarchs’ backfield
Desmond Williams is a proven all-purpose threat whose game is built on burst, efficiency, and toughness: at Old Dominion in 2009-2010 he totaled 640 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns on 126 carries, showing the kind of reliable, low-drama production coaches value in a rotation back. His differentiator is versatility and consistency rather than hype—he has enough pop to finish plays, enough vision to stay efficient, and the veteran résumé to handle situational work without needing the ball to be featured every snap.
