Portland State Punter Jason Daily brings field-position value and steadiness
Jason Daily is worth watching because a good punter can quietly swing a game, and Portland State’s kicking game has leaned on field-position production. Publicly available 2024 team data show the Vikings averaged 40.8 yards per punt, with the unit handling 46 punts for 1,878 total yards, which points to a role built on consistency rather than flash. For a roster fit, Daily is the kind of specialist coaches value when they want reliable hidden-yardage impact and composure on special teams.
