No Duquesne DL Match Found – Top Illinois LB Prospect Now at Illinois State
No records exist for a Ben Cooper as defensive lineman on the Duquesne Dukes; the prominent Ben Cooper is a 6-3, 195-pound linebacker from Maine West HS (IL) who signed with Illinois in Dec 2023 but redshirted in 2024 at Illinois State Redbirds, with high school stats boasting 78 tackles and 8 TFL as a senior plus 15 receptions for 248 yards and 2 TDs on offense – a versatile, athletic two-way playmaker with sideline-to-sideline speed and tackling intensity ideal for FCS defenses, though raw and needing bulk for Power 5; scout buzz highlights his upside as a heat-seeking defender.
